Budget Committee chaired by the Treasurer shall review and recommend for approval by the body the
budgets submitted by all committee chairs and the board.
The Community Outreach Committee shall promote the study of parliamentary procedures and the
educational programs of NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS® on a local level serving, but
not limited to Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Vice President will Chair this committee and will select
Vice Chairmen to oversee the following Sub-Commit
The Community Outreach Committee shall promote the study of parliamentary procedures and the
educational programs of NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS® on a local level serving, but
not limited to Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Vice President will Chair this committee and will select
Vice Chairmen to oversee the following Sub-Committees:
i. Social Action Sub-Committee: shall coordinate and conduct those programs that promote
the understanding of Roberts Rules of Order & Parliamentary Procedure to young people
in schools, colleges, communities, and other silos where there are young people who can
benefit from an early understanding of Parliamentary Procedure. The Social Action
Committee may also organize such other social action events that will help to increase the
presence, and visibility of the unit, and work in conjunction with the Public Relations,
Marketing and Social Media Committee to effectively do so.
ii. The Undergraduate Affairs Committee shall be responsible for the outreach, recruitment,
and support of the collegiate members of the unit. The committee shall host at least one (1)
Undergraduate Invitational annually, unless otherwise specified by the unit or the
Executive Board.
iII. Youth Outreach Sub-Committee shall work with and coordinate all youth groups in Nassau
and Suffolk Counties.
The Education & Professional Development Committee shall develop and coordinate
educational programs for PNSC, including at least one (1) public workshop per year. The
committee shall also establish ongoing training modules and examinations aimed at
assisting its credentialed members to maintain and grow their parliamentarian skill set. The
Financial Secretary will serve on this committee.
The Bylaws Committee shall review all submitted amendments and edit for composition. The committee shall also submit proposed amendments to the members together with the committee’s recommendations for action.
The Membership & Retention Committee shall promote the recruitment of new PNSC members, and the
retention of current unit members, in conformity with the goals and objectives of the Nassau-Suffolk Unit
for membership growth, where such goals are articulated. In accordance with said responsibility, the
Membership Committee may host recruitmen
